ANNOUNCING WRITERS EPISODIC DRAMA 2020

Screenwriters Colony is proud to announce the writers for our 2020 Episodic Drama Colony: Will Seefried, Gillian Weeks, Ian Olympio, and Jessica Granger. These four were chosen from a highly competitive group of industry nominated writers who made our selection process especially challenging. As always, we put together this cohort based on the strength of their voices and vision for their series.

This year our Episodic Drama program will be an online experience because of the realities of COVID-19 rather than our intended physical retreat in Nosara, Costa Rica. It goes without saying that we are disappointed to lose the shared time together in that beautiful place.

Like so many people and organizations around the world, this crisis has forced us to find new strength and clarity of purpose. All of our programs incorporate bringing writers and mentors to an inspiring remote location - whether Nosara or Nantucket. But as we adjust for this new experience, and as we communicate with writers and mentors alike, we grow increasingly excited by the potential of this year’s program. 

We’ve always believed location is an essential component of our programs, but we are now seeing the ultimate necessity: talented writers sharing unique stories, industry mentors who give their time and expertise, and a commitment from SWC to organize and support the endeavor in whatever ways are possible.
