Screenwriters Colony could not do our work without the generosity of esteemed mentors. The writing process (let alone a career in writing) is a long game and our mentors make it a little bit shorter by sharing invaluable wisdom gained through their hard work and years of experience.

The mentors for the 2020 Episodic Drama Colony are all masters of their craft: Veena Sud, Sarah Gubbins, Sarah Treem, Jason Kim, Matt King, and Hilly Hicks. These pros ask the necessary questions and offer guidance to help our writers elevate and clarify their shows. They help them prepare pitches and push their projects closer to being produced. And along the way mentors share industry advice and stories, stories of success and failure and learning, and sometimes a bit of insider gossip.

We want to express our deep, heartfelt gratitude to each of these amazing mentors for signing on during this challenging time of social isolation and Zoom workshops to support our mission and help writers succeed creatively and professionally.
