Jason Kim Now

Our alum, mentor, and dear friend, Jason Kim, is quite simply doing great things. He recently posted a beautifully honest and articulate conversation about Asian Allyship during this time of reflection in our country.

And now we see the official news that he will be adapting Choe Sang-Hun’s New York Times story “Running Out of Children, a South Korea School Enrolls Illiterate Grandmothers,”. Choe’s story details how, amidst plummeting birth rates in South Korea and the emptying of rural schools, one school, in an effort to fill its classrooms, opened its doors to women who have for decades dreamed of learning to read. He’ll be working with Parasite studio CJ Entertainment and Anonymous Content.

Jason is an exceptional and versatile writer and producer who works at the highest levels of TV and film. We will never lose sight of the time, hard work, lessons and lumps acquired on the path to success.

Congratulations, Jason!
