2025 Summer Soirée

On July 25, Almanack Screenwriters and Almanack Arts hosted our annual Summer Soirée, a magical evening of storytelling, music, and celebration. Longtime supporters of our organizations joined new friends, bringing together a vibrant mix of artists and champions of the arts.

Our honorary guest was Grammy Award-winning record producer and music supervisor George Drakoulias, who shared insights from his remarkable career, highlighting how music brings stories to life on screen. We watched scenes from George’s work, followed by a conversation and audience Q&A moderated by filmmaker and musician Haroula Rose, an alum of both Almanack Screenwriters (‘16) and Almanack Songwriters (‘21). The evening also featured an intimate performance by acclaimed singer-songwriter Cassandra Jenkins, a sunset DJ set from Rob Ackroyd, and a special song from Brad Smith.

The evening reflected our shared Almanack missions: nurturing artists, building connections, and creating inspiring cultural spaces and experiences. We are so grateful to our host committee, sponsors, and all the artists whose talents made this evening so special. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next summer for another gathering under the stars!
