2025 Summer Soirée

On July 25, Almanack Screenwriters and Almanack Arts hosted our annual Summer Soirée, a magical evening of storytelling, music, and celebration. Longtime friends and champions of our programs joined many new faces, creating a vibrant community of artists, supporters, and enthusiasts.

Our featured guest was Grammy Award-winning record producer and music supervisor George Drakoulias, who shared insights from his remarkable career, highlighting how songs bring stories to life on screen. We screened highlights from George’s work, followed by a live conversation and audience Q&A with filmmaker and musician Haroula Rose, an alum of both Almanack Screenwriters (‘16) and Almanack Songwriters (‘21). Guests enjoyed cocktails and dinner from Nantucket Catering Company, a sunset DJ set by Rob Ackroyd, and a very special intimate performance by singer-songwriter Cassandra Jenkins.

The evening reflected the Almanack mission: building connections, championing artists, and creating moments that inspire. We are deeply grateful to our host committee, sponsors, and artists who made it possible, and we can’t wait to gather again next summer under the stars.
