Screenwriter Sessions 2.0

Well it happened again! In collaboration with Nantucket Film Festival, we organized and hosted a unique experience for screenwriters. We were blessed to welcome Lulu Wang (THE FAREWELL), James Schamus (THE ICE STORM), Sian Heder (CODA), and Nicole Holofcener (THE LAST DUEL) and Sabrina Dhawan (MONSOON WEDDING). Each writer generously shared their thoughts on the craft and the industry and tips for the long road of writing for the screen.

This time, we were determined to enhance the writing component of the experience. Each week, participants did prompt-based writing and were given the opportunity to share their writing with the group. And each week, something wonderful would happen. Our hope was that these writing sessions would be enriched by the conversations with the guest writers. Unless the participants were being overly polite in their feedback, we can count this as a big success. People reported real breakthroughs and new ideas during the time of the Sessions. We couldn’t be happier to hear it.
