International alumna Stella Meghie has crossed the border to take Hollywood by storm.

The Canadian auteur shines like a diamond in the rough as part of a very exclusive group - a mere handful of Black women working consistently at the studio level. Stella is on the cusp of her most consequential work yet, “The Photograph”, being produced by “Girls Trip”’s Will Packer and starring Issa Rae and Lakeith Stanfield. It harkens back to the days of “Love Jones”, with strong black leads in serious romantic drama. Stella operates under the radar, choosing to forge ahead without a publicist, but we are proud to shout her out as a valued member of our community.
