Tel Aviv on Fire

There are few things more exciting for us than when the words of our writers make their way from the page to the screen. After all, that’s the goal for a screenplay. The only thing better is when it happens with a project that was developed, written, or revised at one of our programs. This is the case with TELAVIV ON FIRE, the feature film written and directed by our beloved alum Sameh Zoabi. The film premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and its theatrical release is this weekend (Aug 2nd-4th) in New York. Sameh worked on Telaviv On Fire during our October Colony in 2016. He was the winner of the Nantucket Film Festival’s Tony Cox Screenwriting Award that year. Congratulations Sameh! We know the work that went into this story.
