Sarah Treem
Sarah Treem is an award-winning television writer, producer, and playwright. She is the co-creator and showrunner of the Golden Globe-winning Showtime drama The Affair.
A prominent force in modern television, Treem is currently the creator and showrunner of FX's upcoming psychological limited series Cry Wolf, starring Olivia Colman and Brie Larson. Concurrently, she is writing and executive producing Netflix's highly anticipated romantic drama series Lovesick, starring Claire Danes. Her extensive television portfolio also includes writing and producing for Netflix's flagship drama House of Cards and HBO’s critically acclaimed In Treatment, for both of which she earned Writers Guild of America Awards.
Equally celebrated in theater, Treem's distinctive, female-centric stage plays include When We Were Young and Unafraid, The How and the Why, and A Feminine Ending. Treem holds a BA from Yale University and an MFA from the Yale School of Drama, where she has also taught playwriting.
